Lactaid contains the natural occuring enzyme lactase. There isn't anything more natural. As for salmon some varieties of salmon are high in fat while others such as chum are quite low. Generally speaking salmon from the Atlantic is high fat than salmon from the Pacific. Is it possible you had a high fat salmon variety?
