Commercials for fiber supplements and uninformed doctors have got the whole world thinking that a massive amount of hard core wheaty IF is needed to be healthy. Today at the store a customer was looking for new All Bran extra fiber. Evidently 40% fiber in one serving isn't enough so All Bran has made an extra colon blowing variety. This product was recommended by the family doctor, not because the husband has C but to keep him "healthy". I could not keep myself from explaining a little bit about fiber which is something I am not supposed to do! I couldn't help it. No one understands SF and IF and the medical profession does not help this. I wish I knew what doctor recommended extreme All Bran. I told the woman it was like a jackhammer on the digestion. I am worried that she will complain about it to someone. It is just so annoying to me I can't not say something.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
