Hi. I am IBS-A (used to be D), lactose intolerant and heartburn. I take Prevacid. For a time when my IBS was really bad, I was taking it in the morning and at night. Prior to that, I didn't think I really needed it, the occassionally forgotten pill didn't seem to do anything. But when my IBS got bad again, boy howdy could I tell a difference. Even missing one pill makes me miserably nauseous. I don't know how else it affects the IBS other than definitely on a stress level. Being that nauseous and not sleeping well certainly can worsen the IBS. I've been on the diet a little over 3 weeks now. Am only taking Prevacid once a day. I have no plans to go off it anytime soon.
