Calcium Citrate and constipation       05/18/07 03:45 PM Edit Reply Quote Shawn Reged: 05/18/07 Posts: 3 I had a bone density test which shows me nearing "fragile". I need to increase calcium but even when mixed with a 2 to 1 ratio of magnesium, it causes terrible bouts of constipation. My nurse practioner warns about too much magnesium (bad for the heart) so what's a girl to do? Don't want to crumble but can't take the constipation. (P.S. The other steps to controlling the constipation a la Heather have been adopted). Has anyone faced this dilemma? Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
