It is an antispasmodic herb and helps increase the gastric juices for better digestion. It does help with the gas and if your gut isn't cramping that will help the C. If you like something a little sweet after dinner you can get sugar coated fennel seeds in the Indian/Asian section of some grocery stores. Swad is a brand name I find most. You just chew a small amount. Indian restaurants generally give them to you after a meal or they have a bowl by the door. -------------------- Catnut IBS-C for many years, finally diagnosed in 2005.
