I'm assuming that you're following the IBS diet as outlined here on the site.
Make sure you're eating the hummus in accordance with the safe IF/SF guidelines, and also make sure you're following the diet strictly otherwise - avoiding trigger foods, getting plenty of IF, exercise, water, etc. Honestly? You may need to hold off on the hummus until you're more stable. I had that problem with eggs - I couldn't tolerate them at all, not even just the whites, and not even in baked goods, until I had pretty much stabilized. But once I was feeling better, I was able to eat them with no problems again.
