For many here dairy has also been a comfort food, but sometimes things that you like are actually hurting you. I love dairy- I come from a long line of dairy farmers, but I also know for a fact that I can't handle it. I get D or C or gas or all three! If I test it after being off of it I get pretty bad responses. I longed to have brie a few weeks ago and I got bad D that night. I was disappointed, but while sitting on the stool I said nothing was worth that and vowed to not 'just try to be normal once in a while' ever again.
I have said it before and I'll say it again: if you are presently having problems with digestion or any IBS symptoms then the food you are eating is not safe for you.

--------------------
IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
