Both can be bad for IBS. For myself, HFCS is a sure problem causer. Fresh baked white breads (french and sourdough, etc.) are just easier to digest. That being said, I can handle other white breads as long as they don't have the bleached flour or HFCS. You just have to see what works for your body.
