I take it now when I am uneasy or have something really important. I used to be IBS-D primarily but now I am an A so I have to be careful. One suggestion that I would make is to buy the generic Equate form of Immodium, it is called Loperamide. I always did and it saved me a ton of money. I could buy it at Sam's Club in a huge box but Walmart sells it too. I asked a GI specialist about long term use of Imodium and Simethicone because I would take alot of both. He told me that it would not harm me physically and if it meant that I could leave the house that it was okay. But, he did state that it would be healthier if I managed my anxiety better so that I could cut down and not be so dependant on it.
