Thanks Dmdentre. Yes, I had a doctor's appt a couple of weeks ago, but he wasn't much help. Just said it was typical of IBS and gave me a prescription for hemmoroids. He's GI specialist #3, but at least he finally diagnosed me as having IBS after two others failed to offer a diagnosis in a 5 year period. Thanks for the encouragement, and quitting smoking sure became a whole lot easier after I figured out how much it was affecting my IBS. And you're a medical student? Ha ha - you probably need more luck than I do right now, as I'm sure you're bound to get overwhelmed by it all at times. Hope you're getting close to seeing that light at the end of the tunnel.
