Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | I really didn't think I would be in this position again.

I was doing great with my routine. 2 - 3 Regemint caps a day and one probiotic. Eating all non-trigger foods and mostly SFs with ISFs. I always eat with plenty of bread before the real meal. Well, Friday I made my homemade fresh clam sauce with linguine and a piece of oven breaded fillet. Well, the D started 10 minutes after eating and I have been unstable since. My son and 3 of his friends came home from college to pick up stuff so Sunday we had a nice dinner with my usual traditional bowl of macaroni with lots of bread with a very small chicken meat ball. 10 minutes after finishing, the cramps got so bad, I had to run and I disappeared for a 1/2 hr. The D wasnt terrible but it was alot and painful. Last night, my homemade no-fat chicken soup and oven chicken, broiled sweet potatoes and steams string beans with lots of bread went right thru me. I THINK IM BACK TO SQUARE ONE. I am soo disappointed. I started to make plans to go out and LIVE again, but now I have to cancel. I cant take a chance being out in public with this. I am actually stunned. Today I am stuck home for sure because my husband took my car to work. Im going to eat plenty and more things like oatmeal (I was always afraid of it) but of course it will be all of the things in Heathers diet. The fluids I have been drinking are water, unsweetened fruit juices (mostly cranberry blends),teas, not black only herbal or rooibos and once in a while soy in my cereal (never milk).I have been trying to gain weight and thought I would because Im eating more and keeping the food in....but nothing. I would love some input and advice. Thanks,
