There are two ways to brew loose tea- but Heather's tea bags now make that unnecessary.
You can put in a few spoons of loose tea into a teapot and then pour boiling water in and let steep a few minutes. Then pour it into your cup using a tea strainer- like a mini regular strainer. This is the true British way.
Or you can get a tea ball at any retail store and put the loose tea in it and put that into a boiling cup of water and let steep.
I have a ceramic teapot and an electric tea kettle for boiling water and this works great. I actually use Heather's tea bags- 2 fennel and 1 peppermint per pot of water.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
