Maybe your lunch is too big? It sounds like a safe meal, but how large are your servings? Or maybe you're going too long between meals? Do you eat a snack between breakfast and lunch? (I think a lot of people get hung up on what to eat to reduce IBS symptoms and forget Heather's guidelines on HOW TO EAT, small, frequent meals throughout the day.)

I was having a similar problem but I now break up my lunch into two smaller meals, about two or three hours apart, and that has helped. For example, if I'm at work at I'll eat half my lunch at noon and then the rest at my next break (around 2 or 3 pm). Or I'l have a smaller lunch and make sure to have safe snacks between breakfast-lunch and between lunch-dinner. This way I'm eating every two - three hours until dinner time. This way of eating has really helped a lot. I notice now that if I go too long between eating (like 4 - 6 hours between meals) I get really bloated, crampy, and have the feeling like I need to have a BM but then I don't. Very uncomfortable and nerve-wracking.!
