Yup, I've found that the Asian soups with the powdered flavor packets can be problematic. When you say "baked noodle," you mean like ramen? I would be extra careful about that. Some of those noodles (especially the cheapie ones) are fried, though they don't look or seem fried.

We recently discovered Maggi brand "Taste of Asia" Hot & Sour soup; it comes in a packet, but it's tasty and doesn't cause either of us problems. We usually add an egg white (the package directs a whole egg), as well as extra veggies and a touch of chili oil and sugar to it. If you can find it, might be worth a try. We buy it at Publix (southeastern USA). You might also like the McDougall "RightFoods" cup meals.
