My name is Gertie (well Marie really), I'm 38, married, no children, and live in Sunderland which is in the North East of England. I was officially diagnosed with IBS in April 2005 but have had it 'unofficially' for about four years. I'm IBS-A and suffer terribly from gas (can be embarrassing ! ! !), bloating, trapped wind and heartburn. At times my bloating can be so bad that I've got to wear a size bigger clothing. Currently reading Heathers book 'the first year' and I've got quick question about the diet. Will I lose any weight on it? I'm not overweight but my doctor has suggested I try and lose some weight as any excess ends up around my middle, making my bloating worse. That's all for now. I've got loads more questions but I'll save them for later. Can't wait to try the RKTs ! ! ! Gertie Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
