If your allergist is thinking celiac, maybe you could talk to your GI guy about checking your villi - it sounds like that's a pretty clear-cut diagnostic test. One thing I've discovered about any serious or chronic illness is that figuring out what's wrong and getting it taken care of always seems to take longer than we think it will. Just remember that every step you take is one step closer to figuring out what's wrong and how to deal with it. HTH.
