how long does meat stay good?       11/17/06 11:02 AM Edit Reply Quote lj Reged: 09/24/04 Posts: 179 Hello all, It seems impossible that I am 39 years old and I don't know the answer to this question. We bought a rather large amount of meat for a family gathering tonight and now I've gotten word that they can't come until tomorrow night. Is it OK to just keep the chicken refrigerated and cook it tomorrow night? Or do I have to freeze it and thaw it back out tomorrow? I am a vegetarian and when we cook meat for the family, my husband goes out and buys it and cooks it immediately, so we don't usually have this problem. I am doubly nervous since we will be serving to a crowd and want to make sure it is safe! Help! Thanks to anyone who can help! Laura Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
