Our answers indicate that it is not an IBS trigger. Tumeric is used in other cultures as a digestive aid, and it has some characteristics of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-platelet, cholesterol - lowering antibacterial and anti-fungal effects.

However, since everyone is different, what is good for one person might not be for the other. If for some reason someone is allergic or sensitive to this spice, then they should stop taking it, and/or not take it at all.
