I started dig. enzymes because it was my last resort as to a supplement/pill. I was given an Rx for Pamine (anti-D) but was recommended by a friend to try the enzymes. I take a multi enzyme because I think I have alot of triggers...I laid off on all dairy, I was about to go completely vegetarian, and I could never leave the house without tummy rumblings, bad D and generalized anxiety. I couldn't trust my body at all...I never knew what it would do. I have now introduced some dairy (I mainly drink soy & rice milk) but if I have dairy near the end of the day, it doesn't bug me. Meat has always made me gassy, and having a husband that loves to cook fried/high fat/tasty food was a problem. I avoid red meat now...and I take enzymes before every meal. The probiotic really helps keep me regular...I really noticed when I ran out for 4 days, so I know they are beneficial. I can only have 1/2 cup of coffee in the afternoon...my tummy is sensitive to food early morning...always has been, even before IBS diagnosis...Alcohol doesn't bother me...I can drink red wine. I don't know if you're familiar with the eating for your blood type..I am AB - so red wine is beneficial for me...just in moderation though.(not an entire bottle!) I found prior to the enzymes I was not assimilating my vitamins/nutrients and now I have had normal BMs...every a.m., it never fails. I don't have bloat anymore either, and I am sure if I took the fennel tea my "Buddha" would go down even more. Say hi to Corner Gas for me! (I am from BC)
