I think what makes it confusing is that manufacturers seem to keep finding new ways to refer to things. My rule is that if it says "wheat" by itself or "wheat flour" it's safe. "Wheat germ", "wheat bran", and any ingredient that contains the words "whole" and "wheat" without a comma in between I avoid. As for "whole grain whatever" that's trickier. I avoid most whole grains but I'll give "whole rice" and "whole corn" a try in cereal or cornmeal (although I don't think any commercial cornmeal is "whole" anymore). I'll eat oatmeal but only in cookies, never first thing in the morning. Oh, and "wheat flour" is SF - all the bran and germ (the IF parts) are gone.

I guess the short version is that "whole", "bran", and "germ" are words that warrant a closer look. And on the EFI Diet anything that says "Low Carb" should get a second and even a third look.

As for the sucralose, I'm kind of shocked it isn't prominently mentioned on the box cover - at least on the one on the Website. I guess it's become so much a part of manufactured foods now that they don't even bother to mention it. Ick.
