Black tea does have some tannins that could bother your stomach. Do you have something to eat with your tea? I have never been able to drink black or green tea, even decaf, on an empty stomach - it makes me very nauseous. As long as I have something with it, though, I'm fine. I can even tolerate caffeinated tea this way.
