Ok this has gotten out of hand. STOP IT, all of you! I come here for support & help. I don't come here to see arguments about IF vs SF. So PLEASE stop! I'm begging! If you want more information for your own curiousity that's fine, go...search... gather all the info YOU need. But don't feel the need to share it w/everyone. It just stirs up controversy, & that doesn't benefit anyone.
Simply put, if you something makes you sick--don't eat it. If you don't know if something will make you sick or not you have 2 choices: try it, or don't try it & avoid it for the rest of your life. If you decide to take the chance, don't be concerned about fiber content, just try it! Take some time when you don't have anything else to do, and try a SMALL amount. That's what I do. On the weekends when I know I don't have to go anywhere I try something new. I do it on full stomach, after I've eaten something substantial and healthy (meaning I eat good stuff, like chicken, rice, pasta, cooked veggies, bread, etc, not a greasy cheeseburger or pizza, etc). I honestly don't care about SF or IF. I just follow Heather's rule about mushy foods, the mushier the easier to digest, balanced w/common sense-I'm not going to gorge myself on buffalo wings, fried chicken, or chocolate cake (as much as I would love to ). I eat foods I know are healthy & easy to digest, then I try a small amount of something I'm not sure about. This is the same suggestion that has been offered by many others on this website. And it makes a whole lot more sense than worrying over every gram & ounce of fiber in every single food out there.
While I try my best to offer helpful suggestions to others, I do not try to convince others that they must eat the same way I do, find out all there is to know about IF/SF, or say things that cause doubt about the EFI diet or the website. Even if you agree with Heather's diet & suggestions, if you post contradictory information about it, that causes doubt to form in the minds of others, whether or not that's not your intention. Heather's diet & this website provide guidelines, not hard fast rules. Everyone is different, our bodies don't react the same way to foods, meds, etc. So the only way to know how something will affect you is to try it, no matter how much IF or SF it contains. So again, I beseech everyone, please stop this craziness, move forward & continue to help & encourage one another.
(Sorry this was so long, but I'm frustrated & needed to get this off my chest. Also, this post is not directed at any one person, which is why I posted it separately instead of as a reply. It is meant for everyone here to read & hopefully understand where I'm coming from.)
