Well-Heather states in her book that she does not feel it works as well as Citrucel, but is better than nothing for emergencies. I've been back on it full time for a month now, because where I live it is cheaper than the Benefiber and Citrucel. It has helped me quite a bit. However, if I had the money, I would probably prefer the Benefiber because it works a little better for me. It's a pain in the neck, though because you always have to have something available to mix it with. There's hardly anything I can mix it in because juice either gives me stomach acid or diarrhea, and I can't eat yogurt anymore. So the Fibercon it is. I did see some Benefiber tablets in my store recently, but it said they were being discontinued. I would say-if you can afford the Benefiber, try it first. If not, the Fibercon can't hurt and may help. Since I've been on it (plus the diet) I have average of one attack every 7-8 compared to every other day which is what I used to have. Good luck!
