It's because your body is not used to the fiber and is acclimating to it. Your best bet is to start with half-dose and gradual increase the dose as to avoid having to use the bathroom. You can take Imodium so long as your need to use the bathroom is food/fiber related as opposed to your body trying to rid itself of toxins (i.e. viral infection).
