I have been told that there are no bad effects of taking it or Simethicone (generic gas-x) long term. Alot of people on here take Loperamide and take alot of pills in a day. If you do a search for Immodium use you will come up with alot of posts on it. Just be careful how many you take so you don't get really C. I am assume you are badly D if you need 8 in one day.
