Actually, I've had no problems with intimacy, and my stomach issues improved GREATLY, once I started Lexapro. I will warn you that when you first start taking them, there's a period of a couple weeks to a month where you feel like absolute crap, but those initial side effects do wear off.
Antidepressants and anxiety meds aren't for everyone. I have anxiety issues (generalized anxiety disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder) stemming all the way back to my childhood, so it was quickly apparent after a few sessions with a therapist that I need to be medicated. I don't necessarily think it's the best option for everyone, but if you find yourself trying other things and not getting the results you hope for, then it might be something to consider.
Oh, and that's something else I forgot to mention - therapy. Therapists and counselors can be a HUGE help; the one I was seeing taught me all kinds of techniques for dealing with stress and panic attacks and things like that. If you have the means of going to a therapist, you might consider that as well.
