Peppermint will not make your D worse. It is a muscle relaxant which will help settle the colon down and keep it from spasming and giving you D.
In the morning, lots of people with IBS have trouble. It's often the hardest time of the day. Be careful what you eat in the evening before.
First, try a strong hot cup of peppermint tea to start your day. Then try plain white bread toast. Check the ingredients.
Lastly, a neat little button on this website is the search button. It's at the top of the page. You can type in topics and it will give you tons of information on previously discussed things.
Also check out the EFI dietary guidelines and the FAQ's. Read everything thoroughly. It takes a while to get the hang of this.
