If you don't think you can use the recipes in EFI, I would suggest you take a look at IBS: The First Year instead. The First Year is less of a recipe book.

Also, check out the recipe exchange. There are lots of good recipes in there that are more basic and do not contain peanuts or other personal triggers.

As for the milk subs, have you tried rice, almond, or oat milks instead? There are others here that can't handle soy and/or are very sensitive to corn syrups and other sweetners, so you are not alone.

As I'm sure you know from your own experience, there is sure some experimentation when it comes to IBS. With the IBS diet, there are the guidelines, which may or may not be 100% accurate for each and every one of us because this is such a individualized condition.
