Isn't is so mind baffling that Doctors don't know the difference between soluble and insoluble? Unbelievable! I was told when diagnosed to eat more fiber and have a nice day. Yikes! Oils, fats, all the same to IBS. Keep them to a minimum. I would say that things like ketchup and tomato sauce are probably going to be fine, but just be mindful that tomatoes are high in acidity and can cause their own problems so just be cautious. I tolerate them no problem now. Read through the dietary guidelines carefully, and start being mindful of your SF and IF intakes. With IF, make sure you cook, peel, mash, puree. Whatever works!
