I have the same symptoms as you, as many do, and can completely understand both your desperation and reticence to return to your doctor. However, I would say that if your symptoms have become significantly worse since a foreign trip I would definitely go back to the doctors - you may well have contracted some kind of food poisoning or bug that you might need some help to shift.

How long have you been on the diet also? Did you follow it in the Dominican Republic?

I'm sorry you feel so poorly, and so down. IBS can be such a difficult thing to deal with, but please don't rule your doctor out just yet if your symptoms are significantly worse or different in any way.
