Hi heather, I am a Nurse Practitioner in a busy primary care office , have had much personal and professional success with your books, and the knowledge contained. Recm'd the IBS diet all the time to my patients. And most do well... if diligent. Was wonderring how you felt about finely ground flax seeds as a source of soluable and insoluable fiber, I have had patients state that this fiber has changed their life . It also has the cardio benefits of Omega 3 oils. 2 Tbs a day seems to help most put the IBS into remission. I have tried acacia and had difficulty getting it to dissolve without making a mess. Also have had good luck w/ peppermint tea and ginger tea. The ginger tea seems to act as an anti- nausea medicine and promotes movement for those with hiatal hernias or slow digestion. . Have also heard that adding some cider to diet, (acid) helps with GERD, what are your thoughts? Bob Dillon, MS, NP.
