Desperate in Australia

Hello All, I am so pleased to have found this website and Heather's books. But I am still a little lost and desperate to control my symptoms. I am in Australia, so also find references to US products a little difficult to decipher. For instance, what are rice chex and corn chex? What are Graham crackers? Is oatmeal the same as porridge (made with rolled oats and water in the microwave)? Is sourdough bread ok? How much bread should I eat before a meal? One slice? I have been trying this diet for about a week, and have no relief. Still enormously bloated. Not constipated or diarrhoea, but seems to be air. I am really desperate. Everyone keeps advising me different things, such as that soy products are highly indigestible and I should buy BonSoy, a soy milk made with Japanese kombu, but this is higher in kJ than low fat soy. And soy cheese and yoghurt are much higher in kJ than regular no fat products. So I seem to be running in circles! I am sorry this message is such a mess, but I truly am desperate to get things under control. I am sure most of you have been in this position, so any advice would be enormously appreciated.
