You're right; it's totally the prep the day before that's the worst part. Totally. The actual procedure was a snap. They give you a drug that knocks you out, you don't feel a thing. I had the BEST sleep! And when you wake up, you just float out of there; it's the best stuff EVER! Afterwards was great. Truly. Absolutely no pain, just a light airy feeling like you're floating, almost better than Jack Daniels! I won't hesitate next time I have to have a colonoscopy. I think I have 2 more years to go. My advice to make it more bearable? Try to relax. Watch "Ellen" on TV and have a good laugh. Try to find the humor in it (it CAN be kinda funny). Oh, and think of all the others who have gone through it too. Actually, Ellen was one of 'em. Her colonoscopy story was HYSTERICAL!
