I completely understand your frustration with trying to gain weight. I have fibro too and have been tall and underweight all of my life until recently. I've finally been able to keep weight on and then I went to a doctor's office 2 days ago and on a chart on the wall it said that at my current weight, I should be 2 inches shorter!! (???!) That kinda sucked.

The trick for me to keeping it on was not getting sick. The more I could regulate my IBS, the better I felt and the less I had chronic D, got the flu, felt I needed to starve myself to feel well, etc. It didn't happen right away, but I was able to put on 5 pounds a year for about 7 years.

I had a hospital stay last March and lost 20 pounds, and have only put 5 back on since then. These traumatic events have been responsible for my major weight loses. It's not fair that we can put it on so slowly and lose it so quickly!!

Keep going and try not to beat yourself up if it doesn't come on right away. Best of luck to you--
