Well, I wished I knew!! I sometimes get what I call pain attacks that can last just a few days if I'm lucky and if I'm not up to several months. Its not really so much a spasm kind of pain, just an intense all over belly pain and LOTs of bloating. I can have bm's everyday during these pains attacks so I know its not always just from C. Heat does help, at least temporarily. I sleep with a heating pad on my tummy most of the time. Sometimes I can shorten a bad pain attack with the use of Xanax (A tranquillizer) and Vicodin (A strong and possiblity addictive pain medication) but most of the time, I just have to ride it out. I haven't had a SERIOUS pain attack in a while, thankfully. I think these bad pain attacks are probably caused by stress. I've treid Zelnorm and it didn't really help any. I've also tried all the different spasm drugs, I find Donnatol to help minimally but I haven't yet found out why or how to make it better.
