Hi Steve! First thing to do is get an appointment with a good doctor and rule out everything else. This will take some time and several tests, but it is worth it to find out what is going on. Do not except a "good luck" handshake from any doctor. Next cut caffein,carbonated beverages, and alchohol from your diet for awhile. It might help and certainly will not hurt. You might want to read about trigger foods and start following the IBS diet to see if it helps. If it does help, that doesn't necessarily mean you have IBS. You really need to rule everything else out first. Good Luck and keep us posted on how you are doing. Leslie
