the dreaded IF/SF ratio

Oh jeez, we've had loads of discussions here about IF/SF ratios - you may want to do a search!

My opinion is that it varies from person to person, and certainly from IF source to IF source. Something like a salad would require more SF than a vegetable soup (where the IF is in small pieces and well-cooked, making it easier to digest). Some IF/SF combos that work for me are: sandwich and an apple, oatmeal with berries, fish and cooked veggies plus a big slice of sourdough bread.

But really, I think you'll have to experiment. Just make your changes gradual and consistent, and I think you'll learn your body's preferences without too much trauma.
