I put mine in a BIG bowl of water (only cuz I had dirty dishes in the sink) you kind of have to press and squish the little sections the first time then the water will go in and start to fill up the sections like pillows. I let mine soak over night. Then I dried it all off. Then I microwaved for about 2 minutes (I have low voltage) turned it over and did about another minute sometimes two (again I have low voltage). Then wrap it in a towel so you don't burn your skin. Hope that helps!
