When you're hiking and camping, you need to be sure to eat enough so you don't get weak. Also, be sure to drink plenty of fluids.

With that being said, stick to what you know is safe for you to eat. For example, I do not eat red meat, jerky, trail mix or anything that I know can set off an attack. I pack my own snacks: graham crackers, tostitos, luna bars, pretzels, and lots and lots of water. With New Years, I am sure there will be booze, so just be sure to take lots of Immodium!
