Question re diagnosis: you mention diverticulosis as a condition to be ruled out before getting a dx of IBS. I do have diverticulosis and in fact first got IBS after a diverticulitis infection treated by antibiotics. had several mild recurrences. Now of course have diverticulosis but no active infection. Can this produce IBS type symptomswithout being true IBS? The diet guidelines do agree with what I have found through tortuous trial and error, and finally I feel vindicated that good white bread is good for me! Thank you.
