I look at my husband, who was diagnosed with diabetes relatively recently. He has to control his diet or deal with really nasty permanent consequences. Compared to that, my eating right to avoid feeling gross is pretty dang easy and self-explanatory.

You just keep plugging through it. Eventually, you'll decide that eating the right food (and finding a stress management program! food alone is not enough) is more pleasant than attack after attack.
