A peculiar issue with IBS....

I want to state first that I'm sorry if this is the wrong board/thread area, but I cannot find the proper place to post this (I don't see a symptom board for help), and am in need of a good solid answer from someone who might have this problem. If this does not belong here, I will understand if it gets moved to a different forum location.

I've been through quite a few tests for my problem, and the conclusion the doctors gave me was IBS during the course of the year. I don't doubt them that it is my issue, as they checked for everything else imaginable for the intestines. (Celiac, any inflammatory bowel problem, colitis, crones, parasites, etc). My main symptom seems to be the amount of pain I get in my lower abdomen, accompanied by lots of stringy mucus. I'll usually just have C, but on occasion D. What I wanted to ask of everyone who has IBS is, have you ever experienced any problems with your bladder, prostate or urine? I ask this because I noticed one major thing that I did not before: When the pain is at its worse, it's always targeted deep in the middle of the lower pelvis region. Not down to my privates, but just above. I can't tell exactly, but I believe that is gall bladder or prostate no? When I use the restroom I do urinate, and that will help the pain go away, but some of it is still there due to the IBS. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I wanted to know if it was normal to have aches in that particular part of the intestines, or near the gallbladder, and if IBS can effect you for peeing. I never once felt any pain urinating, nor anything else that I can think of other then this. I don't know if I'm really mistaking it for the lower intestine since it's so deep, or if it is possible that IBS cases can push the bladder because of bloating, and make you feel that way (the need to pee bad).

To reiterate, I do believe my issue is IBS because certain foods do seem to trigger my effects (dairy especially), and I have the mucus issue on a regular basis, which I know is common for IBS patients. But I wanted to make sure that I don't have cancer or a prostate issue since I'm a 20 year old male, which is suppose to be unlikely. Anyway, I appreciate the comments and suggestions. ^_^

Thanks again!
