Hey fellow Maryland-er! I did not know that about police officers' families! I heard a good one from a fellow would-be juror last spring when I was called to serve (my number was too high, thankfully!). He said he worked all night at a restaurant until three that morning, and would have to work again that night and needed sleep. Not even an eye bat and he was out, no problem.
I think I just need to keep a signed, undated letter from my doctor on me at all times, just in case. Never know when I'll need it!!
