I'm not sure whether Canola Oil is Corn Oil or Rapeseed Oil. Either way, any mild-flavoured (eg. not olive oil) vegetable oil is fine.

Those crisps are unlikely to be safe b/c of the fat content. You want to aim for no more than 25% calories from fat and fat is 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat in a certain amount (eg. 100g or portion), multiply this by 9 and divide it by the total number of calories in that amount (eg. 100g or portion). If the answer is higher than 25 they're too high in fat.
