Sorry to be doom and gloom, but going back to work the next day might be a problem. Normal post-colonoscopy symptoms include: 1. Gas and bloating. This is because the actual procedure forces air into your gut. 2. Some discomfort re. above. 3. Effects from the drugs (sedative, etc).
