This is a very interesting discussion! I, too, suffer chronically from fatigue and I, too, love salt! I am embarrased to say I put way too much salt on my dinner. I always thought it was because everything I eat has no taste, but perhaps I am actually craving it! I also have low blood pressure, an affliction I am told that many petite ladies have (and at 4-foot-8 1/2 I am definitely "petite").
In terms of my fatigue, it doesn't seem to stop me from leading a fast-paced life, including a very busy career and personal life. I guess I've just learned to ignore my fatigue having suffered from it for most of my life. However, I admit to taking small cat naps during the day ... in particular, on the subway to and from work. Fortunately, I always wake up in time for my stop... well, almost always...
