There is a big difference between safe foods and healing foods. When I started the diet I thought safe foods would make me better. So I just wanted to mention that papaya is not a miracle food but will be safe for most people. (One time when I had bad D from Correctol I had papaya for the first time and it came out minutes later in the same form and color. It took me awhile to try it again.) -------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages: "You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
