Interesting article on acid reflux treatment       09/23/05 01:31 PM Edit Reply Quote Sand Reged: 12/13/04 Posts: 4490 Loc: West Orange, NJ (IBS-D) I stopped taking my proton pump inhibitor (PPI), Protonix, because I was having weird side-effects and immediately got horrible heartburn. Since I had never had heartburn before in my life, I was really freaked out and went looking for information on rebound effects after quitting PPIs. I found this very interesting article on acid reflux treatment in general. It seems to present a somewhat different point of view than the usual advice. (I also thought that the woman who wrote it sounded interesting and if I were looking for a doctor in her area, I'd definitely try her.)
