A little over a year ago, I was so sick that even the safest foods - cream of rice cereal, baked potatoes, plain pasta - would trigger an attack. Definitely start an SFS (slowly!!) and keep with the diet; one of the worst things you can do, speaking from personal experience, is to NOT eat. Make sure you stay hydrated, too - some hot peppermint tea is the best, and it should help with the cramping, too.
