My 9 year old daughter has been diagnosed with IBS. She has been suffering for 4 years with severe diarrhea/cramping/gas. She has an intestinal infection at age 5, which left her with IBS. The IBS diet has helped us, and she has had formed stools for a month now. She continues though with nausea/gas/cramping. The cook book has been helpful, but my daughter has food allergies which exclude her from a lot of the recipes. She has egg, peanut, tree nut, and squash allergies. She has been so good about keeping to the diet, but I really want to be able to make her more treats besides oatmeal cookies, chex mix, and rice krispie treats. Any idea's? She has been suffering for so long, and it has affected her ability to go to school, and do extra activities. It has been stressful to say the least.
